The Irish Video Game Orchestra ("IVGO", "we", "us") is a registered charity in Northern Ireland (NIC108928), operating through Overdrive Productions Limited, 10 Exchange Street West, Belfast BT1 2NJ. We are the data controller for personal information collected through this website and our activities.

What Data We Collect and Why

Third-Party Services
Stripe
Donations are processed by Stripe, Inc. Payment card details are entered directly into Stripe's systems. IVGO never sees or stores card numbers. Stripe's privacy policy is at stripe.com/gb/privacy.
Google Analytics & Google Ads
We use Google Analytics 4 for aggregate, anonymised site analytics. We participate in Google Ad Grants, a programme for registered charities. We do not use remarketing lists or personal targeting. Google's privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.
Email Delivery
Contact form messages and transactional emails are sent via a third-party email service. Your email address and message content are transmitted to that service for delivery purposes only.
How Long We Keep Your Data
- Contact and application enquiries: 2 years from last contact, then deleted
- Donation records: 7 years (HMRC Gift Aid requirement)
- Mailing list: Until you unsubscribe
- Analytics data: 14 months (Google Analytics default retention)
Your Rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Erase your data (where no legal obligation requires us to keep it)
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Withdraw consent at any time (for mailing list and consent-based processing)
- Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk

Data Security
This website is served over HTTPS. We use industry-standard security practices and limit access to personal data to trustees and committee members who need it. No transmission over the internet is completely secure. If you have concerns, contact us.

Material changes will be noted at the top of this page. Continued use of the website after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
